What to do in case of flooding?

Many were caught by surprise when the flood came.  Some practical tips in case of flooding or before it comes.

1.  Make sure that the general switch or circuit breaker is turned off.
2.  Secure all individuals.  Make sure that they are in a higher place or safe place.
3.  Secure all your important documents by putting it inside a sealed plastic bag.
4.  Secure all electrical or electronic devices, make sure it is in a safe place.
5.  Store some food and water to enable you and your family to withstand the night or day after that.
6.  Make sure you have your flashlights and emergency light ready as well as the candles.
7.  Have enough clothes or sweaters ready. Put it inside a sealed plastic.
8.  Make sure all individuals are accounted for.
9.  Have a prepared route or evacuation plan readied.
10.  Never leave your cellphone and make sure you have enough load and power to call or be called.

For stalled cars:

1.  Have your car pushed to higher ground.
2.  Turn off your air condition.
3.  Remove the car battery terminals in order to avoid electric risk.
4.  After the flooding, have your car checked by an auto mechanic or electrician to contain damage.
